    Reverse Aging Naturally, Part 2

    The second main cause of aging is due to accumulated waste in the body. The main ingredients in all foods we eat are burnt (oxidized) in the cells and turn into organic acids—uric acids, lactic acids, carbonic acids, fatty acids, etc.

    When we are young and healthy, these acidic wastes and toxins are dissolved in the blood and are then eliminated primarily through urine and perspiration.

    However, unhealthy diet and lifestyle habits (such as overeating or overwork and not enough sleep or exercise) do not allow our bodies to completely dispose of these organic acids.

    In addition, most people consume an excess amount of acid-forming foods and beverages (especially meat, dairy, starches, sugars, sodas, caffeine, and alcohol), which contain inorganic acid minerals such as phosphorus, chlorine and sulfur.

    Sang Whang, author of Reverse Aging, writes: “We get old because we are not disposing of all our internally generated wastes and toxins, and we accumulate the leftovers within our body.” The accumulated acidic waste causes cellular deterioration and aging.

    Two Simple & Effective Ways to Remove Waste

    According to Whang, the reversing aging process requires two steps: (1) lowering the acidity of the body so that it can safely dispose of acidic wastes in the blood and cellular fluids and (2) pulling out the old wastes from their hiding places in the tissues and organs.

    There are a number of ways to lower the acidity of the body and pull out the wastes, such as fasting, eating alkalizing foods, and exercising moderately.

    Rebound exercise is especially effective at flushing the lymph and pulling out waste. Hot baths, massage, and skin brushing are also beneficial for assisting the body’s natural process of detoxification.

    However, Whang says the two easiest and most effective ways for lowering acidity and removing waste are (1) by drinking alkaline, ionized water and (2) by using Far-Infrared (FIR) heat therapies, such as saunas, sleeping pads, or blankets.

    “Since waste products are carried out by the blood and disposed of in liquid form,” explains Whang, “drinking the right kind of water can score more points. The best kind of water for this function is acid-free alkaline water, the water that neutralizes harmful acids and disposes of them safely.”

    One of the many reasons FIR heat therapy is effective is because it elevates the body’s internal temperature and expands clogged up capillary vessels for easier removal of waste through perspiration and urine.

    While strict diets (including fasting) and exercise help our body dispose of some waste products, most people struggle to stick with these programs.
